Safety First Policy
Supekar Associates is committed to control accidents at its construction sites through constant awareness on preventive measures & Providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The health, safety, welfare of our employees and labours is our prime importance to our company.
Safety Committe:
- It includes, site PM/QAE/Store keeper/Safety officer.
- A safety officer is certified by renown organisation.
- Monthly meeting are held at site & Minutes of the meeting are sent to HO.
- Safety officer to conduct daily toolbox session and awareness session per week.
- Safety representative displays a list of emergency contacts on notice board.
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)::
- Safety helmet, jacket, shoes are must in working premises.
- Safety belt to be used while working on heights.
- Hand gloves to be used for material handling.
- Safety goggle to be used while welding, grinding, concrete breaking etc.
- Gumboots to be used for concrete work.
- First Aid kit to be kept in store all the time.
Equipment safety:
- Only trained operators to handle equipment.
- Loose wires will not be inserted in sockets.
- Covered switchboard to be installed outdoors.
- All equipment’s to be cleaned after use.
Equipment safety:
Excavation:
Barricade the excavated area by barricading tapes.
Hard Barricading in deep excavation areas.
Concreting in Foundations:
Shoring and strutting of trench/pit.
Slab Form Work:
Fix props truly vertical with proper bracing.
Centre steel span pin to be tightened properly.
Attendant is must where material are likely to fall.
Concreting of Slab:
Ensure the lift scaffolding installed vertical.
Do not throw of unused materials from upper floors.
Walkways to be used on slab reinforcement to walk.
Welding:
Barricade the working area
Welding work should be away from damp area.
Temporary cables shall be installed at heights.
Cable joints shall be properly insulated.
Welding work should be done using gloves and protective gears.
Masonry & Plaster:
Throwing of waste material shall be avoided.
Scaffolding shall be sturdy & properly braced.
Housekeeping:
Empty cement bags shall be stacked properly.
All shuttering material to be stacked in define areas.
Neatness & cleanliness shall be maintained on entire site.
Mandatory:
Use of hooked safety belts when working on height.
Use of helmets is must while on site.
